Battery type & life

Do not forget the source of power for your MP3 player

There are two main battery types used in MP3 players nowadays. The first type is the normal alkaline AA or AAA battery. The advantage of using this kind of battery is that you can get them absolutely anywhere. The disadvantage of using this kind of battery is that you have to spend money whenever you run out of batteries. The second type of battery is the rechargeable type. Sometimes rechargeable battery packs are already built in the MP3 players. Other MP3 players can use external rechargeable batteries. The advantage of using rechargeable batteries is that you can keep charging them for over a thousand times. The disadvantage of having rechargeable batteries is that you will always need to look for a power outlet whenever you run out of power.
